Shirley Bell-Northan was born on December 22, 1952 in the Fairview section of Cape Charles, Virginia and is currently married to Bishop William L. Northan Jr., after being married for 37 years to her now deceased husband with which they had four (4) beautiful children. To this union together they now have eleven (11) beautiful children.
Shirley Bell-Northan gave her life to the Lord in her teenage years. She was a member of Mt. Sinai Gospel Tabernacle, Cape Charles, Virginia approximately all of her life until she transitioned her membership with her husband Bishop William L. Northan to New Jerusalem Lifechangers Ministries, Inc., Onancock, Virginia.
While at Mt. Sinai Gospel Tabernacle she served on the Senior Usher board, member of the Busy Bees Choir, Combined Ensemble Choir member and secretary for over 30 years, Eastern Shore Mass Choir member and secretary, secretary of Annual Youth Association, secretary of Pastor’s anniversary committee for 18 years, president of Pastor’s anniversary committee 2 years, secretary of Annual Youth Convention and pastor’s chauffer.
Shirley Bell-Northan is a graduate of Northampton Senior High School, attended Eastern Shore Community College, University of Maryland Eastern Shore, Strasburger & Seigel, Baltimore, Maryland and the Mount Sinai Bible Institute.
First Lady Shirley Bell Northan is first and foremost the wife of Bishop William L. Northan Jr. Shirley Northan has been involved in Christian ministry for many years and continues to serve alongside her husband, Bishop Northan. As a humble, yet wise woman of God she continues to serve in so many capacities. She currently oversees many facets of the New Jerusalem Lifechanger Ministries and serves to assist many near and far in their spiritual endeavors for Christ.
